The aim of this study was to evaluate the usefulness of three-dimensional (3D) MRI with a neuro-navigation system in the preoperative localization of acoustic schwannomas (ASs) and to verify the surgical outcomes. A retrospective study of 32 patients who underwent microsurgery for non-glomus jugulare ASs was performed. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was performed using a 1.5-T superconductive system. A 3D model of the brain was reconstructed from the axial images and the surgical trajectory calculated. Under the guidance of the 3D model, the lesion was resected via the retrosigmoid approach in all the patients. The surgical field of view was visualized in real time and the lesion was reached in all the patients. No postoperative mortality or cerebrospinal fluid leakage occurred. All the patients were followed up for 3-36 months. They all showed marked improvement in their condition. ASs that can be resected via the retrosigmoid approach can be clearly delineated by 3D MRI with the assistance of a neuro-navigation system.Q: Can I make a element inside a ?
